Abraham Lincoln

     Abraham Lincoln is one of the most famous American presidents. To be precise he is the 16th

president of the USA.
Abraham was born on the 12th of February 1809 in Hodgenville, Kentucky, USA. His parents were farmer, Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks. His family was poor. When Lincoln was seven years old his family moved to Indiana, later to Illinois. In 1834  he was elected into the House of Representatives and began studying to become a lawyer.In 1842 he married on Mary Todd. They had four children, but three children died. In 1847 he was elected into Congress but  he did not stay there for a long time because he was against slavery.
      In 1860 Lincoln was elected president of the United States. When Lincoln were president the country began the process of dividing. The North and the South were divided and the civil war began. In 1864 Lincoln was elected for the second term of presidency.  The war was over on the 9th of April 1985. 

 
      On the 14th April the same year Lincoln was shot in head about 11 o’clock am during attended the play in Ford's theatre in Washington.

     On April 15, 1895 Abraham Lincoln died at the 7.22 am.

In the history of the US this was the first president who was shot.
